To minimize repetitive inquiries for information, productions often submit information they wish released to the community to the Dallas Film & Creative Industries Office and Texas Film Commission for posting on their online job pages. When a production is ready to solicit resumes, information is provided to the public on the DFCIO JOB LISTINGS or TFC Production Hotline.

Film commissions cannot release information until authorized by the production. Inundating out-of-state productions with job inquiries before they are ready can annoy them enough to cause a company to lean toward another area. Most production companies do not want to have to start dealing with crew until they have determined their locations and made other decisions — after which, things move rather quickly.

The job listings page includes information on features, TV movies, series and other projects in production or pre-production, that have already chosen to film their project in the Dallas area.
