We're Launching A FREE Series of Workshops!
We're excited to launch the first of many initiatives in the works for the year, starting with a FREE series of workshops and panels at the Texas Theatre. Mark your calendars for March 14, April 11, and April 18, from 6:30 PM - 8 PM! The workshops will focus on getting your screenplay or idea made, how to get your short film into film festivals, and how to work with music producers on your film. You don't want to miss out! The Sidewalk Artist - Filmmaker collective WATCHALE took home the Jury Award for Narrative Short at this year's Slamdance Film Festival in Park City. A HUGE congratulations to director's David Velez and Brandon Rivera and the whole team behind The Sidewalk Artist. Watzs Productions - Dallas-based Watzs Productions seeks to dismantle stereotypes one story at a time and is set to launch their upcoming series, Frame of Reference, on WFAA+, the first series to hit the app. Learn more about the show and production company at their website here.
Dallas Center for Photography - The Dallas Center for Photography will host filmmakers Julie Winokur and her husband, Ed Kashi, as they discuss their 30 year collaboration and the winding path that led to the creation of Talking Eyes Media. The couple will discuss the Aging in America project which marked their launch into multimedia and led to the founding of Talking Eyes Media. They will also discuss other projects including Sandwich Generation, Photojournalisms, Newest Americans, Bring It to The Table, and more.
