Role Description

We’re entering an exciting new phase as a company and are looking for the right candidate to join us as Business Development Rep for our SET™ suite of artist tools. This role will be key in fueling adoption of our SET tools that empower artists to build direct-to-fan relationships with fun, engaging, and rewarding fan experiences. This is a high impact role that reports to the Director of Special Projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. product & engineering, marketing, etc.) to drive connections with artists, managers, and labels.

Responsibilites

  • Work closely with the Director to: Identify key music manager/label contacts; refine data, and build out key artist/industry insights
  • Build content & offers that align to key touchpoints along the artist lifecycle
  • Aid in planning, creating, and executing high impact direct outreach programs that break through the ‘noise’ and help generate awareness and adoption of our SET Artist Tools – develop compelling emails, live demonstrations, videos, landing pages, and other content assets (working collaboratively with Marketing and Product teams)
  • Work with the marketing team to build outreach processes and automation workflows throughout each stage of the artist’s lifecycle with SET (e.g. as they’re touring, as they’re looking to connect with fans, releasing new music, etc.)
  • Assist in hands-on, end-to-end project management (planning, building, testing, executing, optimizing, measuring, reporting, etc.)
  • A/B test outreach elements to increase success rates
  • Ability to verbally articulate the SET value proposition, set & run virtual meetings with artists, managers, and labels, and effectively demo the tools
  • Evaluate effectiveness of outreach and fine-tune to increase adoption rates; continuously learn and adopt best practices focused on improving efficiency and results

Qualifications

The skills required to be considered for this position include:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in a business development role
  • BA/BS in marketing, advertising, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate concisely and effectively
  • Strong data evaluation skills with the ability to extract data from various sources and turn the analysis into actionable insights
  • Expertise in the art and science of creative marketing, including email (subject lines, design elements, copywriting, calls-to-action), landing pages, workflows, compelling content pieces, and relevant offers
  • Excellent project management capabilities including the ability to accurately specify timeline dependencies and risk factors and collaborate with team members to hit deadlines
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Required proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
